"We are thrilled to be able to give back to our hometown with the generous support of many current and former Sudburians," said Jamie Lamont, co-chair of Toronto Celebrates Sudbury organizing committee. "Our goal is to create a legacy for Sudbury and we are off to a great start."

Perry Dellelce, co-chair of the Toronto Celebrates Sudbury Committee, noted that the event is becoming a mainstay of the Toronto cultural scene for many former Sudburians. As well, many Sudburians travel to Toronto, specifically for the evening, resulting in a wonderful reunion of past and present Sudburians.
