Jamie Casino Comments on the Conviction and Sentencing of Police Chief Willie Lovett

SAVANNAH, GA--(Marketwired - Feb 10, 2015) - The following is a statement from Attorney Jamie Casino:

On Friday, February 6, 2015, Police Chief Willie Lovett was sentenced to 7.5 years in prison and over $50k in fines for extortion, gambling and other charges. Prior to his indictment, Chief Lovett had depicted my little brother Michael and his friend Emily as "not innocent" after their brutal murders on Labor Day 2012. In 2014, I ran my Super Bowl spot to set the record straight in the court of public opinion, not realizing the FBI was preparing to indict Chief Lovett. With him now going to prison, justice has been served [somewhat]. The self-serving politicians who appointed him have received no penalty despite the years it will take to repair the damage Chief Lovett has caused to our police department and community.
