Government of Canada funds economic recovery of the Town of Lac-Mégantic
LAC-MÉGANTIC, QUEBEC--(Marketwired - Feb. 10, 2015) - Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions (CED)
Acting on behalf of the Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of Infrastructure, Communities and Intergovernmental Affairs and Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec, the Honourable Christian Paradis, Member of Parliament for Mégantic-L'Érable and Minister of International Development and for La Francophonie, announces that the company Variétés Charron et Leclerc S.E.N.C. (affiliated to the Jean Coutu network) has been granted financial assistance to reopen its pharmacy in Lac-Mégantic.
This support has been awarded in the form of a $500,000 non-repayable financial contribution under the Support for SMEs and Organizations component of the Economic Recovery Initiative for Lac-Mégantic (ERILM), delivered by CED.
