Investing in Krydor's Centennial

KRYDOR, SASKATCHEWAN--(Marketwired - Feb. 13, 2015) - Department of Canadian Heritage

The Government of Canada is providing $10,500 to the Village of Krydor under the Building Communities Through Arts and Heritage program.

Maurice Vellacott, Member of Parliament (Saskatoon-Wanuskewin), announced the funding today on behalf of the Honourable Shelly Glover, Minister of Canadian Heritage and Official Languages.

• The Village of Krydor was incorporated in 1914.
• To mark the centennial, the Village created a replica of a grain elevator as a permanent monument that is representative of Krydor's farming history.
• The Building Communities Through Arts and Heritage program provides Canadians with more opportunities to take part in activities that present local arts and culture and celebrate local history and heritage.
