Our Government is proud to be involved in such a project, which encourages Canadians of all ages to express their pride in the National Flag of Canada, which turns 50 this year."
-The Honourable Keith Ashfield, Member of Parliament (Fredericton)
"This is a time to celebrate 50 years of both the national and New Brunswick flags-both created 50 years ago this month, and both created by New Brunswickers. They are symbols which make us proud of where we live, proud of our heritage and proud to be Canadian. Our flag brings joy on holidays and at public events, sorrow when flown at half-mast, honour when draped over a coffin. It unifies and makes us grateful."
-Her Honour the Honourable Jocelyne Roy-Vienneau, Lieutenant-Governor of New Brunswick
