WildWorks Announces Landmark Global Partnership With Free The Children

SALT LAKE CITY, UT--(Marketwired - Mar 10, 2015) - WildWorks, the leading developer of Animal Jam, a digital playground for kids who love animals and the outdoors, today announced a partnership with international charity and educational partner, Free The Children.

Founded in 1995, Free The Children is part of a family of organizations including We Day and Me to We. The three work towards the same goal of empowering a generation to shift the world from "me" to "we" by providing the resources and tools young people need to become active local and global citizens. Together, WildWorks and Free The Children will give players of Animal Jam the opportunity to become involved in various initiatives, including addressing homelessness, sustainable income projects for developing countries, and human rights for children around the world -- extending the "me" to "we" message to communities worldwide via Animal Jam.

"It is an honor to have a global partnership with Free The Children," said Clark Stacey, CEO of WildWorks. "Animal Jam has always had a focus on building the digital citizens of tomorrow. With this partnership, we're taking that a step further and helping to develop global citizens of the future. We hope to inspire our millions of players to be engaged in the sciences and humanities, learning valuable skills to help them be leaders in their communities."

In addition to this initiative, WildWorks will be a global educational partner for the We Day events, engaging youth to change the world through an inspirational event and year-long educational program. As a global educational partner, WildWorks will connect with teachers throughout the world and bring Animal Jam into classrooms as a learning aid for teaching the life sciences.

"We're thrilled to announce Free The Children's global partnership with WildWorks, the leading developer of online worlds and free-to-play educational games," said Free The Children co-founder, Craig Kielburger. "Together WildWorks and Free The Children will work to engage the strong network of young players in a digital educational playground, empowering them to become local and global citizens both online and offline."

This partnership adds to additional humanitarian and conservation efforts of WildWorks as it continues to adopt animals from zoos around the country on behalf of their players in Animal Jam. Part of the player's membership fees help fund animal conservation efforts -- in 2014 alone, WildWorks donated over $10,000 towards these efforts throughout the United States.
