GOWRIE, Iowa, March 10, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- via PRWEB - The 61st Annual Meeting of the members of Webster-Calhoun Cooperative Telephone Association (WCCTA) is scheduled for Tuesday, March 17th starting at 7:00 pm in the gymnasium of the Southeast Valley High School in Gowrie, IA.
The theme for this year's Annual Meeting is #RuralIsCool. Living in rural Iowa is full of many opportunities to thrive and grow including service to every section with Fiber to the Home technology offered by WCCTA. At the meeting, members will learn more about what makes WCCTA unique and why Rural Is Cool!
Results of the Election of the Board of Directors will also be announced at the meeting. Ballots to all members have been sent out for the election of the Board of Directors to replace the directors whose terms expire in each of the cooperative's three districts. Candidates are selected by the 2015 nominating committee. The marked ballot is to be delivered to 1106 Beek Street in Gowrie, IA or placed in the provided postage-paid pink envelope. All ballots must be received prior to 12:00 pm on March 17, 2015.
Additional items to be presented to members during the meeting include announcing the new website for WCCTA and updates on services. Members will hear reports from the Board President, General Manager and auditing firm on the financial status of the cooperative.
The evening will also include refreshments and doughnuts. Door prizes will be given to the drawing winners of members present at the annual meeting. This year there will be a Grand Prize 55" Smart TV given away. Other prizes include 47" TV, 32" TV, 24" TV, Gift Baskets of Iowa Products from the Community Orchard in Fort Dodge and more.
