Cycliq's Kickstarter Campaign for Fly12 Front-Facing Light & HD Camera Ends March 11th

Device to Feature Companion App, Strava Integration and Innovative Alarm

Leederville, Australia, March 10, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Cycliq's Fly12 Kickstarter campaign, which took just two hours to reach funding goal, will conclude Wednesday, March 11th at 11 p.m. ET. Fly12 is a combination headlight and HD camera that lets cyclists ride safely while recording action in front of them. The device follows Cycliq's award-winning Fly6 and will retail for US $399, though a limited number of Kickstarter pledges are still available for US $259 (shows as AU $329).

"The response to Fly12 has been tremendous, and we're currently funded at two-and-a-half times our Kickstarter goal," says Andrew Hagen, CEO of Cycliq. "That enabled us to add more features such as a bike alarm, which was requested by a number of enthusiasts."

Fly12 is lightweight and compact with a 1080p action camera that can record for up to 10 hours in camera-only mode, while the headlight delivers up to 400 lumens for riding in low light.  Fly12 integrates WiFi and Bluetooth capability and a companion app to view, edit, upload and share snippets on social media.

Features include:

  • 1080p resolution recording at 45 frames per second for crisp resolution and rich detail
  • Up to 400 lumen light intensity for visibility up to 75 feet in complete darkness, with option of always-on and flashing modes
  • Up to 10 hours between charges in camera-only mode, as much as four times other action cameras
  • A user-friendly companion app for on-the-fly video trimming and sharing to social networks, plus "tramline" application depicting three-foot buffer
  • Strava integration via smartphone app to display ride statistics as an overlay on video footage
  • Looping record with footage automatically saved to a microSD card (up to 64GB)
  • Fly12 will preserve important footage in the event of a serious incident
  • Nanotechnology weatherproofs the device against corrosion and water damage
  • A handlebar mount, plus GoPro and Garmin mount compatibility

The Kickstarter campaign concludes at 11 p.m. ET on March 11th.  Retail availability is expected in Q4 of 2015. For more information visit cycliq.com.
