Ryan Craver, Former Hudson Bay Executive, Joins Retale Advisory Board

Expert on 'Connected Retail' to Provide Strategic Counsel and Guide Growth

CHICAGO, IL--(Marketwired - Mar 12, 2015) - Retale (www.retale.com), a location-based mobile platform connecting more than 3 million shoppers with their favorite local retailers, today announced that it has added Ryan Craver to its advisory board.

Craver currently leads Emerging Brands, License and Digital Strategy for Lamour Group's global brand roster distributed throughout the world's largest retailers. Prior to his tenure at Lamour, he served as Senior Vice President and Chief of Staff for the Department Store Group (DSG) at Hudson's Bay Company where he cultivated new relationships and alliances across the company's portfolio and led the core department store strategy for Lord & Taylor. Craver also spent a six-year executive stint at Accenture, where he drove growth and profit improvement across multiple clients, including FedEx, Virgin Media and Best Buy.

"We have long admired Ryan's passion for the intersection of technology and retail," said Pat Dermody, President, Retale. "The work he did at Lord&Taylor around beacons was exemplary of his ability to drive innovation and push beyond existing boundaries. We are thrilled that he has agreed to join our Advisory Board sharing both his knowledge, experience and passion for next-generation retailing."

Craver has established himself as one of the foremost minds on the intersection of retail and technology, leading global retailers to the forefront of the evolving "connected retail" environment. His expertise in the areas of changing consumer dynamics and understanding how retail organizations and brands can leverage technology to strengthen their competitive position will only support Retale as retailer and consumer adoption alike continue to grow simultaneously in 2015.

"This is truly a fantastic opportunity," said Craver. "Retale is one of the most intriguing businesses digitizing the offline brick & mortar world using mobile and location based marketing. I can't wait to join forces with the company's top-tier product and leadership teams as the company enters the next phase of its success."

In addition to his advisory board role with Retale, Craver currently serves on the advisory board of New York Fashion Technology Lab and Plug & Play Tech Center while mentoring a number of startups.

Craver will lead a discussion March 14 in Austin, Texas at Decode Fashion SXSW titled, "Building an Empire of Data for Retail: a world where data is being collected from every touchpoint, how can retailers leverage data strategically?" In this talk, Craver will discuss how to use data strategically to increase online and offline conversion. He will also navigate the various data types, metrics and use cases driving retail decisions both today and tomorrow.

On March 15, Craver will be part of a panel discussion in Austin at the Location Based Marketing Association's RetailLoco event titled, "Moving Beyond The Beacon."

Part of the Bonial International Group, Retale is at the forefront of connecting shoppers with more than 130 premier U.S. retailers through the aggregation of weekly location-based digital circulars.

Retale this week announced an Apple Watch app that will build upon the intuitive location-based features users have become accustomed to in using Retale on iOS. The Retale Apple Watch platform takes advantage of Retale's drive-to-store emphasis by making its "Store Finder" a key component. Retailer ads will also be visible on the Apple Watch, serving as an extension of Retale's iPhone and iPad apps, allowing users to sync preferences, favorites, lists and actions across devices to create one of the most comprehensive and convenient mulit-platform shopping experiences today.
