Fighting Winter Blues With the HubCap Comedy Festival

Government of Canada provides support for the HubCap Comedy Festival


MONCTON, NEW BRUNSWICK--(Marketwired - March 16, 2015) - The Government of Canada is providing a total investment of $60,000 ($30,000 in 2015-2016 and $30,000 in 2016-2017) to the Hubcap Comedy Festival de l'humour Inc. This support is being provided through the Canada Arts Presentation Fund for the next two editions of the HubCap Comedy Festival.
Robert Goguen, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Justice and Member of Parliament (Moncton-Riverview-Dieppe), announced the funding today on behalf of the Honourable Shelly Glover, Minister of Canadian Heritage and Official Languages.

Quick Facts

  • The next editions of the Hubcap Comedy Festival in Moncton, Dieppe and Riverview will be from January 30 to February 6, 2016, and from February 4 to 11, 2017.
  • Planned programming for the upcoming festivals includes at least 30 performances and features more than 25 culturally diverse artists from across Canada and the United States performing in both official languages.
  • Other activities include free performances and workshops at secondary schools, colleges, universities and public venues.
