Which Companies Host Europe's Best Capital Markets Days?

New Institutional Investor Survey Highlights the Region's Must-Attend Events for Financial Professionals

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - Mar 17, 2015) - Airbus Group, Allianz and BMW are among the top-ranked companies in Institutional Investor's inaugural ranking of Europe's Best Analyst Days.

Complete survey results can be found at www.institutionalinvestor.com/rankings.

To be successful, an analyst day -- or capital markets day, as the events are sometimes called -- must provide an opportunity for portfolio managers and sell-side researchers to get to know the executive teams of the companies they cover, learn about their short- and long-term objectives, gain a greater understanding of the business dynamics, and have their questions answered promptly and thoroughly.

Not all companies prove adept at hosting such events. To find out which ones outperform their peers, Institutional Investor asked buy- and sell-side participants in the 2015 All-Europe Executive Team survey -- the magazine's exclusive annual ranking of the region's best corporate leaders and investor outreach programs -- to identify the events they deem most helpful.

II received responses from nearly 1,380 investment professionals at approximately 500 financial services firms. Roughly 70 percent of the people who cast votes in the executive team survey, representing some 77 percent of the participating institutions, answered our question about best analyst days. Respondents from the buy side work at firms that collectively manage some $4.5 trillion in European equities.

A total of 92 companies in 30 industry sectors earn an appearance on this inaugural roster. These businesses span 13 countries, from Belgium to the United Kingdom. Nearly one third of the companies that finish in the top three are headquartered in the U.K. Germany is home to the second-highest number of ranked names, with 17, followed by France, with 11.

Results of the 2015 All-Europe Executive Team will be published online on March 24.
