Government of Canada supports the Peterborough Folk Festival


PETERBOROUGH, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - March 17, 2015) - Department of Canadian Heritage

The Government of Canada is providing $10,000 through the Canada Arts Presentation Fund to support the Peterborough Folk Festival's annual music festival and its year-round music series. The events feature established and emerging artists in a variety of folk sub-genres, including influences of pop, country, new music and jazz.
Barry Devolin, Member of Parliament (Haliburton-Kawartha Lakes-Brock), made this announcement today on behalf of the Honourable Shelly Glover, Minister of Canadian Heritage and Official Languages.

  • The 26th annual Peterborough Folk Festival will take place from August 21 to 23, 2015.
  • The PFF Presents music series will take place from April 1, 2015, to March 31, 2016.
  • The expected attendance for the festival and series is approximately 9,000 people.
