Weintraub Tobin Restructures Firm Management for Continued Growth and Client Service Excellence

Michael Kvarme and Sherry Bragg to Share Firm Leadership Responsibilities

SACRAMENTO, CA--(Marketwired - Mar 18, 2015) - Weintraub Tobin, one of California's leading full-service law firms, has restructured its firmwide management to facilitate continued growth in the state and client service excellence. Michael Kvarme from the Sacramento office and Sherry Bragg of Newport Beach will serve as co-managing shareholders, with Kvarme focusing on strategy, growth and finance and Bragg on practice management, operations and administration. With more than 60 years of combined experience, the co-managing shareholders will be assisted by the firm's management committee, which is representative of all offices and interests.

"Weintraub Tobin has enjoyed tremendous success in combining forces with like-minded firms and attorney groups. Through this rapid expansion, we have upgraded our infrastructure to maximize efficiencies and maintained our back office services in-state during a period where so many others are abandoning California. This recent history, coupled with the newly shared managing shareholder responsibilities, goes a long way toward positioning the firm for continued growth," said Kvarme. "To meet client needs, we continue to look for service-oriented laterals and practice groups, particularly in complex litigation, corporate, real estate, labor and employment, and trusts, estate and probate."

"This restructuring allows Mike and I to continue to practice law and provide the firm's hallmark service to our clients, while also ensuring service excellence, teamwork and collaboration by our high-caliber attorney colleagues -- across all of our offices and practices," said Bragg. "The shared responsibility will enable the firm to expand on important initiatives, in particular increasing our focus on women and diversity for both lawyers and staff."

Kvarme, the firm's long-time managing shareholder, concentrates on a transactional real estate, finance and business planning practice. His clients range from publicly traded companies to closely held businesses and individuals. Kvarme earned his J.D. from the University of California, Davis School of Law (1979) and his A.B. from the University of California, Berkeley (1976).

Bragg, previously managing partner of Orange County, Calif.-based Waldron & Bragg, which merged with Weintraub Tobin in Jan. 2014, represents both plaintiffs and defendants in a wide variety of business disputes. Her practice focuses on issues involving real property, banking practices, partnerships and corporations, employment and labor, professional negligence, bad faith insurance practices, and various other contractual disputes. Bragg earned her J.D. from the University of California, Los Angeles School of Law (1987) and her B.A, cum laude, from the University of California, Los Angeles (1984).
