United Way Supports Yes Vote; Joins Better Transit and Transportation Coalition


VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwired - March 18, 2015) - United Way of the Lower Mainland has joined the Better Transit and Transportation Coalition in support of the transportation improvement tax.

"United Way believes that every person who lives here should have access to the same opportunities to build a better life for themselves. The half percent tax increase is a fair and equitable way to help vulnerable populations like lower-income working families and seniors," says Michael McKnight, President & CEO, United Way of the Lower Mainland.
