TransCanada Donates to Medical Clinic


CHETWYND, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwired - March 18, 2015) - The District of Chetwynd is pleased to announce that TransCanada will donate $100,000 toward construction of the new Medical Clinic and Wellness Centre in Chetwynd.

"This Medical Clinic and Wellness Centre will become a reality, in part because TransCanada recognized the value the clinic will bring to the residents of Chetwynd and area. Councillor Ernest Pfanner, Chair of the District of Chetwynd Council's Health Services Committee stated, "We are very thankful for the donation of $100,000 toward the medical clinic. It is challenging to recruit medical professionals in northern communities, but TransCanada has demonstrated they are working with us to meet this challenge by assisting us in construction of this beautiful new medical facility."

The Chetwynd Medical Clinic project is on time and on budget, and plans are to open mid-May.
