In May Enzymatica will launch a smaller package of ColdZyme against common colds in Swedish pharmacies. The product, ColdZyme OneCold, contains enough for one cold and makes it easier for first-time consumers to test and evaluate the product. The launch is in line with the company's strategy to broaden exposure and product knowledge and increase sales in existing markets.
ColdZyme OneCold is a third of the size of the existing product, 7 ml instead of 20 ml. One pack is estimated to be enough for a cold and can be used as prevention or in the early stages of the infection to shorten the course of the disease. ColdZyme OneCold will be available in pharmacies throughout Sweden from week 20 (May 11-17).
"OneCold is an important entry product for new customers. A small product size makes it easier and less expensive for customers to try the product, for example prior to the holiday, important sports races or a wedding weekend. Once tried, we know that the majority will like and continue to use ColdZyme. The larger size is still our main product, but we consider that the smaller product will play an important role for future launches in new markets," says Fredrik Lindberg, CEO of Enzymatica.
ColdZyme products are registered as medical devices by the Swedish Medical Products Agency, allowing them to be marketed in Sweden and other countries within the EEA. ColdZyme 20 ml is currently sold in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and the UK. Since the fall of 2014, the OneCold product is available through the Boots pharmacy chain in the UK.
Enzymatica aims to continue developing ColdZyme, drive its own sales in its home market and expand internationally by tying agreements with reputable local or regional distributors.
