Big Switch Networks Leads SDN-Focused Breakout Sessions at Ethernet Technology Summit

Big Switch Executives Scheduled to Lead Discussions on Emerging Trends in SDN, Switching and Open Source at Silicon Valley Conference

SANTA CLARA, CA--(Marketwired - Apr 14, 2015) - Big Switch Networks®, the leader in bringing hyperscale networking to data centers worldwide, will lead five educational sessions at the Ethernet Technology Summit on April 14th and 15th in Santa Clara, CA. Big Switch executives, including Rob Sherwood, CTO; Prashant Gandhi, Vice President of Product Management and Strategy; Sandip Shah, Lead Engineer/Architect; and Jeff Doyle, Modern Network Evangelist, will share their knowledge and experience in breakout sessions on a range of software-defined networking topics.

The Ethernet Technology Summit focuses on the use of Ethernet throughout the networking space. This includes the emergence of 10-Gigabit Ethernet as a key LAN technology on the desktop and in data centers, and the ongoing standardization effort for 40-Gigabit and 100-Gigabit Ethernet. The summit will also center around the use of Ethernet as a carrier backbone and transport method, as well as Ethernet's utility in wireless, industrial, embedded, and storage applications.

Big Switch will lead discussions on open source switching, data center infrastructure, and emerging SDN technology.
