The three-day event will take place at the Philadelphia Marriott Downtown from Thursday, April 23 - Saturday, April 25, 2015.

The SIOP conference is focused on the field of industrial and organizational (I-O) psychology, providing industry professionals with the opportunity to learn about current research and best practices in addition to sharing knowledge and networking.   • Cutting to the Chase: Streamlining the Hiring Process (Thursday, April 23 at 3:30 p.m.) - In this panel, Christie Brodbeck, Virtual Job Tryout Talent Analytics scientist, and Eric Sydell, vice president, Research and Innovation at SHAKER, will participate in a conversation about recent efforts to streamline pre-hire assessments and improve the candidate experience.
  • Talent Acquisition Transformation: Lessons Learned and How I-O Adds Value (Friday, April 24 at 8:00 a.m.) - Mike Hudy, vice president, Selection Science at SHAKER, and a panel of industry insiders will explore the role and value of I-O professionals in talent acquisition transformations and steps taken to overcome potential obstacles.
  • Critical Discussions Regarding Mobile Assessments: Can You Hear Us Now? (Friday, April 24 at 10:30 a.m.)  - During this session, Jared Ferrell will co-chair a panel that aims to open a dialogue surrounding the current state of mobile-delivered assessment technology as well as future research directions.
  • A Look under the Hood of Media-Rich Recruitment Tools (Friday, April 24 at 12:00 p.m.) - During this symposium, Christie Brodbeck and Eric Sydell will present findings from an innovative media-rich candidate recruitment and selection campaign, sharing challenges encountered, strategic decisions made during the development and resulting outcomes.
  • A Survivor's Guide to Age Discrimination (Friday, April 24 at 12:30 p.m.) - In this poster presentation, Mike Reeves, new product development associate at SHAKER, will share results from a survey of 227 workers aged 50 and up on the topic of age discrimination in the workplace.
  • Biases and Compensatory Strategies: The Efficacy of Training Intervention (Friday, April 24 at 3:30 p.m.) - This session, submitted by Jensen Mecca, content analytics associate at SHAKER, will feature of panel from the University of Oklahoma who will investigate training intervention targeting biases and compensatory strategies in ethical decision making. 
  • Gamification of HR Processes: Three Case Study Examples (Saturday, April 25 at 8:00 a.m.) - During this symposium, Daly Vaughn, senior associate and team leader, Virtual Job Tryout Build; Scott Goodman, vice president, Client Solutions; and Jackie Carpenter from SHAKER will share three case studies demonstrating how gamification can be successfully applied to distinct HR processes: recruitment, selection and training.
  • Under the Hood: Practical Challenges in Developing Technology-Enhanced Assessments (Saturday, April 25 at 10:30 a.m.) - Eric Sydell will partake in a panel about the practical challenges faced in designing and developing technology-enhanced assessments and the issues related to technology, collaboration and project management.
