Joseph A. Eisert Becomes Third Environmental Partner to Join King & Spalding's D.C. Office Since January

WASHINGTON, DC--(Marketwired - April 16, 2015) - King & Spalding has recruited Joseph A. Eisert to its tort and environmental litigation practice as a partner in the firm's Washington, D.C., office. Eisert joins a two-member team of environmental partners from his former firm of Kirkland & Ellis -- Granta Nakayama and Ilana Saltzbart -- who came over to King & Spalding in January. Eisert had been a partner at his former firm.

"We welcome Joe to our growing team of experienced environmental regulatory lawyers in the Washington office," said Carol M. Wood, leader of King & Spalding's tort and environmental litigation practice. "The newest members of our group augment our current team of environmental partners in Atlanta, Houston, San Francisco and Washington. Our practice's expanded capabilities will benefit clients throughout the firm."

Eisert represents clients on environmental and product safety counseling and litigation matters involving the Environmental Protection Agency, Consumer Product Safety Commission, National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, Occupational Safety and Health Administration, state and international regulatory bodies and state attorneys general. Prior to his legal career, Eisert was a lieutenant in the United States Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program. He received a B.S. degree from the United States Naval Academy, an M.A. degree from Georgetown University and his J.D. degree from George Mason University School of Law.

"I am pleased to be counted among King & Spalding's talented environmental lawyers and to team up once again with my former colleagues Grant and Ilana. I look forward to helping grow the practice," said Eisert.
