MEDIA ADVISORY: The Fairmont Hotel Macdonald Amnesty Event

EDMONTON, ALBERTA--(Marketwired - April 17, 2015) - Join our team and the community in a shared exhibit of Fairmont Hotel Macdonald items collected over the last 100 years.

Bring any items that you have saved from the Fairmont Hotel Macdonald over the last 100 years (no questions asked), and share a story or two. This popular Fairmont Hotels and Resorts centennial tradition has been done with grand turnouts at the Château Laurier in Ottawa as well as the Palliser in Calgary for their 100th years.

This is a public event (no appointment necessary) and will be hosted in our Historic Wedgwood Room. All items returned will be displayed that day, at our historic open house in August (exact date TBA) and on public display throughout the hotel afterwards for all guests and Edmontonians to enjoy well into the future.

Also joining us will be special guest Kevin Franchuk, Director of the Alberta Railway Museum.
