The Honourable Kerry-Lynne D. Findlay, P.C., Q.C., M.P., Minister of National Revenue
"Under the Government's leadership, Canada has created over 1.2 million new jobs since the recession, but we live in uncertain times and the global economy remains fragile. That's why Economic Action Plan 2015 will continue our Government's focus on creating more jobs and growing the economy in Delta and across the country."
The Honourable Kerry-Lynne D. Findlay, P.C., Q.C., M.P., Minister of National Revenue
"Canada is one of only a few nations to announce a balanced budget and we applaud the federal government for that achievement. We note the reduction in the small business tax rate from 11% to 9% over the next four years and urge the federal government to accelerate its implementation. Changes to the Small Business Financing Program increasing the maximum loan amount to $1M, and supporting young entrepreneurs through the $14M Futurepreneur program, will enhance new ideas and new business growth. We also commend the budget's focus on funding for major infrastructure projects, including a commitment to provide dedicated funding through a Public Transit Fund. We look forward to further details regarding the federal government's plans, which we trust will help fund infrastructure projects in B.C. and in Delta in particular, fueling economic growth."
