HRO Today Forum Set to Highlight HR Leadership and Culture

Agenda Includes More Than 35 Knowledge Sharing Sessions, Keynote Presentations Led by the Industry's Most Influential Experts and the Annual iTalent Competition

PHILADELPHIA, PA--(Marketwired - Apr 28, 2015) -  SharedXpertise, the publishers of HRO Today Magazine and producers of a variety of popular HR outsourcing and HR technology events and publications, today announced program details for the upcoming HRO Today Forum, to be held May 4-6, 2015, at the Westin in Philadelphia.

The annual HRO Today Forum unites industry thinkers, practitioners, technologists and partners to connect and share ideas about how to improve the HR function as the structure of work changes. Strictly a buyer/practitioner-only event, the conference aims to keep HR relevant by promoting agility and a strong focus on the business impact of core HR issues. As a result, the conference program includes senior-level HR education, with each topic and presenter hand-selected by HRO Today's CEO, Elliot Clark, and editor-in-chief, Debbie Bolla.

The 2015 event promises a comprehensive session agenda with the addition of two content tracks. The healthcare track features sessions on managing benefits, building a recruitment model and overcoming talent shortages, while the other track, hosted by the Center for Human Resources at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, will explore recruitment solutions and analytics, games and gamification and understanding career outcomes.

Another key feature of this year's event will be a fireside chat with keynote speakers and award-winning authors, Dr. Beverly Kaye and Dr. Bob Nelson, who will address how to engage and inspire the workforce for better productivity and retention.

Additional highlights from the HRO Today Forum agenda include:

  • The pre-conference workshop on successful healthcare workforce planning, including understanding the benefits of developing a strategy, evaluating options and workforce models, assessing an existing program and streamlining the plan to allow more time for strategy and development.
  • Announcing the winners of the TekTonic Awards, which recognize innovation and disruption in the world of technology. Nominees are reviewed by a panel of judges and analysts. Once announced, the winners will be included in an upcoming issue of HRO Today
  • An in-depth look at emerging models for HR leaders based on a forthcoming article in the Harvard Business Review and presented by Peter Cappelli, director of the Center for HR, The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. The session will explore the idea of focusing HR efforts on projects that support business objectives.
  • The interactive CHRO Panel Discussion, featuring insights from HR executives from MasterCard, Haworth Inc., Mohegan Tribal Gaming Authority, SAS, Pitney Bowes and UniTek Global Services. Topics to be discussed include talent retention, employee engagement, strategic delivery, HR technology and more.

In addition, attendees will have the opportunity to learn about the most innovative technology solutions at the iTalent competition, hosted by Matt Charney, executive editor and head of Content for Recruiting Daily. The 2015 iTalent finalists include Clinch, Greenhouse.io, Jibe, SkillSurvey and Universum. These five finalists will have seven minutes to pitch their technology before the event audience and a panel of HR technology experts, industry analysts, HR practitioners and technology investors. After the presentations are complete, the judging panel and audience will vote to select this year's winner.

HRO Today Forum CEO Elliot Clark commented, "The HRO Today Forum believes that HR leadership and great culture is the ultimate competitive advantage for today's employers. Our 2015 event aims to build relationships and share best practices with senior HR practitioners, and we look forward to connecting our attendees with the leaders and research shaping the future of the HR industry."
