CaNickel Appoints New Directors

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwired - May 8, 2015) - CaNickel Mining Ltd. (TSX:CML) ("CaNickel" or the "Company") announces changes to its board of directors. Mr. Myles Gao and Dr. Yingting (Tony) Guo are appointed to the board of CaNickel and Mr. Raymond Lai resigned from the board of directors of the Company for personal reasons.

Mr. Myles Gao obtained his B.Sc. in geology from Lanzhou University, China, in 1982. Moving to Canada in 1989, he received his M.Sc. Degree in geology in 1993 from Laurentian University. Mr. Gao has worked for numerous Canadian mining and exploration companies in both Canada and China, and has been holding executive positions, such as CEO, President, or COO of a Canadian public mining company since 2003. Mr. Gao was also a director of the Company from December 2010 to November 2013. Mr. Gao is a Qualified Person as defined under Canadian NI43-101.

Dr. Yingting (Tony) Guo has over 27 years' experience in the mineral industries. He has worked on mineral exploration and development projects/mines in China, Mongolia, Africa, US and Canada. His credentials include a Bachelor of Science Degree in Geology from the Nanjing University as well as a Doctor Degree in Geology and Exploration from China University of Mining and Technology. He is a registered Professional Geoscientist from the Province of British Columbia, Canada, QP member of Mining and Metallurgical Society of America and Associate of the International Institute of Minerals Appraisers. Dr. Guo has worked from mining companies to consulting firms such as Jinshan Gold Mines, China Gold International, Behre Dolbear Group etc. as an exploration and development manager, chief geologist, Vice President and Independent Director. Dr. Guo is a Qualified Person as defined under Canadian NI43-101.
