Government of Canada provides funding to the Seafest and Rudder's Parade of Lights Festival
YARMOUTH, NOVA SCOTIA--(Marketwired - May 13, 2015) - Department of Canadian Heritage
Greg Kerr, Member of Parliament (West Nova), on behalf of the Honourable Shelly Glover, Minister of Canadian Heritage and Official Languages, today announced an investment of $21,450 in the Seafest Association.
The group will use this funding to present the 37th annual Seafest and Rudder's Parade of Lights in Yarmouth. The 11-day event will feature musical and theatrical performances by local artists and presentations of local heritage, such as guided walking tours and demonstrations of painting and rug hooking.
Funding for Seafest is being provided under the Building Communities Through Arts and Heritage Program.
