Media Advisory: Federal Unions Come Together in Montreal and Quebec City to Protect Public Science Integrity and the Integrity of Canada's Public Service


MONTREAL, QUEBEC and QUEBEC CITY, QUEBEC and OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - May 14, 2015) -

Representatives of major federal bargaining agents and hundreds of public service employees will gather in Montreal and Quebec City on May 19, 2015 to protest the muzzling of Canada's public scientists and partisan interference in the development of public science.

The Montreal event will be held at Place Bonaventure, and in Quebec City, at the Université Laval. In both cases, members of the Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC), the Canadian Association of Professional Employees (CAPE) and the Professional Institute of the Public Service of Canada (PIPSC) will be holding mobilization and information activities between noon and 1:00 p.m.
