SimplySocial is Acquired by Matchfire Co. to Expand and Enhance Social Media Management Enterprise Software

Matchfire Co. Will Guide SimplySocial to Best Practices in Data Analytics

San Francisco, California, UNITED STATES

SAN FRANCISCO, May 19, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Social media management startup SimplySocial today announced that it has been acquired by data platform firm Matchfire Co. The companies will collaborate using their shared expertise in consumer data analytics to benefit businesses in managing their social media campaigns.

"Businesses constantly miss marketing opportunities when they do not post a piece of positive customer feedback or forget to share a clever concept," said Tyler Arnold, Founder and CEO of SimplySocial. "From the beginning, it became apparent to us that many businesses do not have the time nor the resources to spend hours a day managing social presence. Our team set out to solve this problem by building the SimplySocial platform."

Founded by a small group of experienced technology entrepreneurs, the SimplySocial platform was launched as a direct response to the needs of busy marketing teams. SimplySocial simplifies the curating and posting processes and empowers organizations to do more with less time, at a lower monthly subscription rate than competitor services.

"We are excited to welcome SimplySocial to our family of companies," said Chris Noble, CEO of Matchfire Co. "Using big data to empower consumers is at the heart of our strategy, and we understand that curating and sharing targeted articles is key to creating an informed conversation between consumers and brands. SimplySocial is an outstanding tool, doing just that."

SimplySocial also acts as an employee engagement and supporter advocacy platform. The employer approves the social feed, pushes it to all employees, and employees can then easily share company content on their own personal social pages. Matchfire sees several strategic use cases for the engagement and advocacy function of SimplySocial for businesses of all sizes—from agencies to nonprofits.

"Nonprofits often work with their donor and volunteer lists to expand their reach via social media," said Philips McCarty, Founder and CEO of Good Scout Group, a social good consultancy firm. "SimplySocial enables nonprofits to effortlessly share their social content and expand their reach through not only their immediate networks, but through their employees' and volunteers' networks as well."

SimplySocial will come as an addition to the Matchfire family of companies—among them waggle, the recently launched lifestyle brand for dog lovers, as well as HomeSlice App, the leading household management mobile app.
