AUSTIN, TX--(Marketwired - May 19, 2015) - UnboundID, provider of the industry's leading software platform for identity and preference management, today announced interoperability between the UnboundID Platform and RSA® Security Analytics from RSA, The Security Division of EMC (NYSE: EMC), for advanced threat detection and remediation against identity-based cyber attacks. This interoperability leverages identity data and security intelligence to deliver a unified dashboard of threats for real-time analysis and response by security teams.

Security attacks have become a significant threat to customer loyalty, brand image, and company profitability, particularly in an era in which brands are accumulating vast amounts of sensitive customer data to improve customer experience. The average cost of cybercrime per company in the US was $12.7 million in 2014, with some as high as $61 million according to the Ponemon Institute. With the interoperability between RSA Security Analytics and the UnboundID Platform, security teams can receive real-time alerts from security breach attempts and unauthorized use of identity credentials to greatly minimize the risks of identity data theft and access to corporate resources.

The UnboundID Platform provides a unified view of the customer around their user identity, enabling enterprises to deliver a more personalized and cohesive customer experience across channels to increase sales and improve customer loyalty. UnboundID's product includes granular security and governance controls to prevent unauthorized access to personally identifiable data, and allows end users to control what data they share with brands along with setting preferences for communications and engagement.

RSA Security Analytics is designed to give security operations teams complete visibility to detect, investigate and take targeted action against even the most advanced network attacks before they affect the business. Along with UnboundID's real-time identity data, RSA Security Analytics is engineered to correlate location, IP address, time, device and other data indicating when and how advanced attackers are targeting an organization. This interoperability will help companies detect potential threats faster and greatly mitigate the risk of data loss or a network breach.

"Companies with large stores of customer data have high risks of financial and market share loss without putting forth all defenses possible against hackers," says Bjorn Aannestad, Director of Products at UnboundID. "We're thrilled to continue our work with RSA to help our customers protect sensitive data and comply with industry regulations by providing new tools and greater visibility to combat theft and unauthorized access."

"We are excited to expand UnboundID's participation in the RSA Ready Program," said Chad Loeven, Director of Partnerships at RSA. "This interoperability with RSA Security Analytics helps enable our customers to further correlate and detect online imposter behavior and help eliminate blind spots. Security Analytics has visibility across logs, networks, endpoints and now data from UnboundID. This makes it easier for our joint customers to discover attacks missed by traditional security information and event management (SIEM) and signature-based tools."

Certified through the RSA Ready Program, the interoperability between the UnboundID Platform and RSA's Security Analytics is generally available for customers.
