Community events are made possible through the Celebrate Canada program
PICKERING, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - May 22, 2015) - Department of Canadian Heritage
Corneliu Chisu, Member of Parliament (Pickering-Scarborough East), on behalf of the Honourable Shelly Glover, Minister of Canadian Heritage and Official Languages, today announced $500 in funding to the Bridge - Church for All Nations Incorporated, $600 to the St. Mary and St. John the Beloved Coptic Orthodox Church, $700 to the Royal Canadian Legion - Bay Ridges Branch 606 and $21,000 to the City of Pickering to celebrate Canada Day.
This support, provided through the Celebrate Canada program, will enable these organizations to offer Canada Day activities in Pickering on July 1, 2015.
