American Legion Post 162 in Marion, OH Celebrated Memorial Day With a New LED Sign

American Legion Post 162 called upon Vizual Express in Marion, OH to install a new full color LED sign to replace their old changeable letterboard in time for their Memorial Day events

MARION, OH--(Marketwired - June 02, 2015) - Memorial Day is a day of remembrance for those who died while serving in the country’s armed forces; a time for visiting cemeteries and decorating graves with American flags. In recognition of this patriotic holiday, American Legion Post 162 on Bellefontaine Ave in Marion, OH decorated their establishment with a beautiful new sign displaying the American flag in full color on their new LED display to brilliantly show their support. Vizual Express, a local sign company, made it possible.

American Legion Post 162 is the second post in the area to install an LED sign. They saw another sign in the area built and installed by Vizual Express, so the post immediately called upon them to design and replace their current sign. The current sign had an old changeable letterboard that was difficult for them to keep up with and truly “became a hassle” according to Gary Williams with Post 162.

Curt Fassler, owner of Vizual Express, stated, “They like the other LED sign we installed, so they inquired with us and actually ordered a bigger sign. They ordered late in the game and wanted the unit installed prior to Memorial Day.”

Gary, along with Bill Stallings from Post 162, worked with Fassler to design and build a completely new illuminated sign cabinet with an integrated full color LED message display manufactured by Vantage LED. They wanted the new sign installed by Memorial Day, but time was running short.

“With the help of Vantage LED with quick delivery and the hard work of my installers, Reuben Blackburn and Gary Bosley, we were able to build the sign and have it installed a full week early,” stated Fassler.

He continued, “The people at Vantage LED are very good to work with, and Kyla, our sales rep, is the best. They have the best warranty in the business. From a shop standpoint, they’re capable of handling software setup and issues with the customer, which reduces the middle-man hassle from us!”

Williams from Post 162 stated, “Vizual Express did a great job and delivered on time! It was very interesting to stop by and see the progression of our own sign at their shop.”

The American Legion is a patriotic veterans organization devoted to mutual helpfulness, and they have local posts throughout the US that support fellow service members and veterans in their own communities. This brand new sign and full color LED display will present an easier and more attractive way for American Legion Post 162 to consistently reach out to the community about their events.
