WILLEMSTAD, CURACAO--(Marketwired - June 12, 2015) - Carteira International N.V. (the "Company") announces that today the Company acquired ownership by way of a private placement of 57,009,346 common shares (the "Shares") of Aura Minerals Inc. ("Aura Minerals") at a price of $0.107 per Share for an aggregate consideration of $6,100,000 (the "Transaction"). The Shares represent approximately 19.96% of the issued and outstanding common shares of Aura Minerals upon completion of the Transaction.
The Company entered into the Transaction for investment purposes. The Company may, in the ordinary course of its business, increase or decrease its ownership or control of common shares or other securities of Aura Minerals.
A copy of the early warning report filed in connection with the Transaction will be made available on SEDAR.
Prior to the Transaction, the Company did not own any securities of Aura Minerals.
