(OTC: VSYM), a Baltimore manufacturer and leading provider of integrated weapons detection systems, announced the company filed a patent on May 26, 2015 for a new enhanced concealed weapons detection technology. The application is entitled, "Electromagnetic field detection using anisotropic magnetoresistant gradiometers in both passive and active mode."

The new ViewScan solves many problems of today's ordinary metal detectors, including the amount of time it takes to detect a threat. View Systems' new technology dramatically accelerates the detection of potentially dangerous objects on the body of a person passing through an archway, corridor or door, enhancing the discovery of threat objects. The new system maintains all the best features of View Systems' current product and adds enhanced recognition of threat objects coupled with identification. 

View Systems' Chief Engineer John Sarman says, "The person is safely analyzed and potential threat objects are located and shown on live video. The instant video feed can be coupled with facial identification methods. The complete system becomes a verification of an identified or sought for individual and whether that individual possesses a threat." 

Another important feature of the new ViewScan product will be a significantly widened portal passage compared to current detectors.
