In Response to Google Chrome's Introduction of "Intelligent Pausing" -- Flashtalking Launches HTML5 Training Series for Creative Developers

LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM and NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - Jun 16, 2015) -  Flashtalking, the leading global independent ad server and ad tech company, today announced the launch of free educational webinar training for creative developers on how to effectively design ads in HTML5 using the company's API and Ad Builder tool. The company established the series in reaction to Google's announcing their latest Chrome enhancement, the implementation of "intelligent pausing" of Flash on websites when the technology is not deemed core to the user experience.

While these efforts to boost functionality and increase battery life are touted as improvements, because the measure reduces the amount of Flash content the browser allows to automatically play -- the change presents a challenge to advertisers who need to adapt their library of creative ads. Flashtalking is committed to servicing their clients on an ever-evolving landscape, in whatever manner is needed to drive business success for those clients.

"As the industry shifts, Flashtalking is very well-positioned to help our clients with this complex transition. We've built the best proprietary tools in our industry to easily and efficiently create HTML5 advertising," said Flashtalking CEO John Nardone. "We help our clients and partners remain quick on their feet and as responsive as they need to be, to make an impact on today's digital advertising landscape."

As a service to its roster of industry leading agencies and advertisers, Flashtalking responds to Chrome's ad pausing decision by immediately offering the new training. Sessions will begin Wednesday, June 17th and run throughout the summer. The company will release and update their training schedule on their site.

The Flashtalking training will cover:

  • The Flashtalking Ad Builder: The well-regarded, designer friendly ad production tool creates sophisticated HTML5 ads for any media placement and format in minutes.
  • Flashtalking API: An extensive code-based API is available for developers who prefer to work in code.

In addition to the training, Flashtalking offers their clients:

  • Production Support Services to assist with conversion of creative to HTML5, or as an additional overflow resource for creative teams.
  • Full tracking and reporting for all HTML5 creative across desktop, tablet and mobile.

Putting the move into perspective, for all Flash creative running on Chrome browsers, consumers will see a greyed out, paused ad, requiring agencies and advertisers to produce all ads in HTML5. The revised Chrome Beta was released last week with the full push to Chrome browser expected by September.
