Klipfolio Hosts First "Dashboardpalooza"

Celebration Helps Local Companies Monitor Their Performance in Real Time

OTTAWA, ON--(Marketwired - Jun 17, 2015) - Today, Klipfolio hosted Ottawa's first "Dashboardpalooza," part of the company's official ribbon-cutting at its newly expanded and renovated headquarters. A select group of startups, marketing agencies and local tech companies learned how to use business dashboards to monitor their companies' performance more effectively. Attendees also created dashboards they could "take home" to use with their own cloud-based data.

A business dashboard is a management tool used to visually depict the performance of an enterprise, a specific department, or a key business operation. Klipfolio's dashboards allow business users to build and share real-time dashboards to improve their overall business performance.

"Instead of a standard ribbon-cutting, we wanted to do something fun and supportive of the local community," stated Klipfolio CEO Allan Wille. "Real-time visibility of business data can help our local companies compete more effectively. Dashboards help business users react quickly and make better decisions. And today, by using an affordable tool such as Klipfolio Dashboard, organizations of any size can have their most important metrics at their fingertips."

The entire Klipfolio team was on hand to demonstrate how the company monitors its own performance using big screens mounted on walls throughout the office. Klipfolio Gurus helped guests build their own dashboards. Founders and executives from local startups such as McMillan, MediaMiser, FuseBill, Titus, PrivacyAnalytics, and TrendMicro attended. Ottawa South MPP John Fraser and Invest Ottawa President and CEO Bruce Lazenby were also in attendance as Klipfolio previewed an Ottawa City Dashboard using publicly available data to show the city's progress on a number of key indicators.

"The recent IPOs out of Halogen, Kinaxis and Shopify, demonstrate the strength of the city's software sector which, we believe, will be a major driver of innovation and job growth in Ottawa," said Ottawa Mayor Jim Watson. "There is every indication that Klipfolio could be one of the next big success stories to come out of the local market and I'm very excited to follow their progress."

Klipfolio recently received $6.2 million in funding and is using the funding to kickstart a period of intense growth. Last year the company tripled its revenues and more than doubled the size of its team.
