AlarmForce Announces New Chief Financial Officer

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - June 17, 2015) - AlarmForce Industries (TSX:AF) announced today Chris Lynch will be appointed as Chief Financial Officer. He is scheduled to begin July 6.

Chris brings over 14 years of financial advisory and operational experience to the position. He joins AlarmForce following a successful career at Brookfield Asset Management (Brookfield) where he worked as the Senior Vice President, Corporate Finance & Treasurer for Brookfield Global Relocation Services (BGRS) and Vice President, Corporate Finance for Brookfield Residential Property Services (BRPS).

During his tenure at BGRS Chris played a key role in leading the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Pricing, Treasury and Corporate Finance functions and as a change agent through a series of organizational initiatives. As VP Corporate Finance at BRPS Chris was responsible for all aspects of global treasury and company-wide liquidity including cash management, treasury operations, financing and debt management along with cash flow planning and participation in corporate development activities.

Prior to Brookfield, Lynch served as an Investment Banker for CIBC World Markets for over six years where he was involved in a number of advisory, merger, acquisition, equity and debt financing, valuation and restructuring mandates across a range of industries. Prior to becoming an Investment Banker, Chris worked as part of the team responsible for the adjudication and credit risk management associated with CIBC's global securitization businesses.

"We are excited to have Chris join our executive team at AlarmForce Industries," said Graham Badun, Chief Executive Officer, AlarmForce. "He brings a proven track record of building teams and is a recognized leader in change management and strategic financial planning and analysis that will be important to our future growth objectives."

"I am pleased to be joining AlarmForce Industries as their new CFO," said Lynch. "Their strong financial position, conservative balance sheet and brand strength within a growing vertical will enable us to continue to build and deliver shareholder value through a disciplined financial approach."

Lynch holds an MBA from McMaster University and a BBA from Wilfrid Laurier University.

The change in CFO came as a result of Chetna Kapadia deciding to step down for personal reasons. Chetna will remain with AlarmForce in a newly created VP Finance role that will focus on preparing the company for future growth.
