Intelligent Image Stabilization helps produce sharp images when shooting at the long end of the zoom range, or at longer shutter speeds.The G3 X also offers a fast maximum aperture range of f/2.8-5.6 for operation in a range of conditions while the zoom range extends from a wide angle 24mm equivalent to a super telephoto 600mm equivalent. The Canon G3X PowerShot combines a 1" 20.2MP High-Sensitivity CMOS sensor with Canon’s DIGIC 6 Image Processor to provide high-resolution images and 1080p Full HD video up to 60 fps with a sensitivity range up to ISO 12800. Also benefitting from the processor is an autofocus system that can focus as fast as 0.14/second, with 31 AF points, and continuous shooting up to 5.9 fps.

A 3.2" 1.62 million-dot multi-angle touch screen LCD is ideal for taking selfies, as well as menu navigation, image composition, and review. For sharing your selfies and other images, Wi-Fi and NFC connectivity make it easy to connect via social media or to the Canon Connect Station CS100 for storage.

Videos shooters will be pleased with the inclusion of an external microphone jack, headphone jack, and manual controls. An HDMI output enables video playback on an HDTV display for an enjoyable viewing experience.

The dust- and water resistant camera body has a continuous ring, exposure compensation dial, mode dial, front dial, and controller ring for intuitive control over the camera settings.
