The Honourable Steven Blaney, Member of Parliament for Lévis-Bellechasse and Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness, on behalf of the Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of Infrastructure, Communities and Intergovernmental Affairs and Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec, today announced that Plastique Micron Inc. has been awarded financial assistance to enable it to pursue its ongoing efforts to improve its productivity.

The assistance has been awarded in the form of a $400,000 repayable contribution through CED's Quebec Economic Development Program.

Quick facts

  • This investment will enable Plastique Micron to acquire and upgrade equipment, such as semi-automatic palletizers and extrusion blow molding presses.
  • These different steps will lead to better productivity for this manufacturing SME founded in 1970.
  • As well as having an impact on the enterprise's competitiveness, this project should ensure that existing jobs are maintained.
