Federal funding helps make festival of the arts possible
BOUTILIER'S POINT, NOVA-SCOTIA--(Marketwired - June 25, 2015) - Department of Canadian Heritage
On behalf of the Honourable Shelly Glover, Minister of Canadian Heritage and Official Languages, Gerald Keddy, Member of Parliament (South Shore-St. Margaret's), today announced $8,300 in funding for the Peggy's Cove Area Festival of the Arts Society.
Provided through the Building Communities Through Arts and Heritage Program, these funds will enable the organization to host the 5th Peggy's Cove Area Festival of the Arts, starting July 9. The activities include musical performances, an art exhibit and workshops in stained glass, painting, jewellery making, stonecarving and rug hooking.
