Quinte West to Receive Funding for Trenton Wastewater Treatment Plant Headworks Upgrades

Project approved under the Small Communities Fund

QUINTE WEST, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - June 26, 2015) - Trenton Ward, City of Quinte West

Residents of Quinte West will benefit from wastewater treatment plant headworks upgrades thanks to joint funding from the Governments of Canada and Ontario through the Small Communities Fund.

The project is for the first phase of upgrades to the Trenton Wastewater Treatment Plant Headworks. The upgrades include the implementation of a new building odour control system and enhancements to the treatment systems that will address bypasses and help improve water quality in the Bay of Quinte.

This funding will help address local priorities, supporting job creation and economic growth, thus sustaining a high quality of life in small communities across Ontario for years to come.
