Acrow Bridge's Paul Sullivan Is Appointed to U.S. Trade Representative's Trade Advisory Committee on Africa (TACA)

Brings Strong Experience in Infrastructure Investment in Sub-Saharan Africa and Other Developing Economies


PARSIPPANY, NJ--(Marketwired - Jul 14, 2015) - Paul Sullivan, Vice President of International Business Development at Acrow Bridge, a leading international bridge engineering and supply company, has been appointed by the Office of the United States Trade Representative (USTR) as a member of its Trade Advisory Committee on Africa (TACA). The USTR has primary responsibility for developing and coordinating U.S. international trade policy and overseeing negotiations with other countries. TACA provides advice to the USTR in developing U.S. trade policy throughout sub-Saharan Africa.

Sullivan has been a frequent speaker at international development conferences and a key supporter of efforts to reauthorize the charter of the Export-Import Bank of the United States. As Acrow Bridge's Vice President of International Business Development, he is responsible for managing its business interests outside of the United States. Before joining Acrow, Sullivan practiced as a corporate attorney in the United States and Latin America. He earned his Juris Doctor (J.D.) from Duquesne University in the State of Pennsylvania and his Masters of Legal Letters (LL.M.) from King's College London in the United Kingdom, with a specialization of finance and foreign investment in emerging economies. He also served as a Judicial Clerk for the Supreme Court of Ireland.

Sullivan has enjoyed a long career working in Africa on bridging infrastructure projects, both large and small, including those requiring complex trade finance. He also serves as the Chair of the Infrastructure Working Group for the Corporate Council on Africa in Washington D.C., and serves on the Board of Princeton in Africa (PiAF). Sullivan lives in New York City.
