First Medical Cannabis Clinic in Georgia Receives Patients From Marijuana Doctor Network

ATLANTA, July 20, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Aerete Integrative Medicine of Atlanta is making history as the very first medical practice in the State of Georgia to begin offering medical evaluations to any eligible patients for the Low THC High CBD Bill. If the patient is approved by the physician, the patient or patient's caregiver information will be entered into a secure Low THC Oil Registry of the Georgia Department of Health and a card(s) will be issued. The fully-equipped medical office is conveniently located in Cobb County, on the Exchange SE; corner of Terrell Mill and Water Place. The teams of medical professionals believe in providing compassionate care and truly understand the medical benefits of CBD (cannabidiol) oils with low THC content to treat patients, who suffer from sickle cell disease, seizure disorders, cancer, ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease), Crohn's disease, mitochondrial disease, and Parkison's disease. Aerete Integrative Medicine of Atlanta is also the first Georgian medical organization to join MarijuanaDoctors.com, a nationwide network of physicians that serves the 23 legal medical marijuana states, as well as Low THC states.

On April 16, 2015, Governor Nathan Deal signed House Bill 1, which in turn legalized the possession and use of low-THC cannabis oils for patients diagnosed with a qualifying medical condition. The new law, also known as Haleigh’s Hope Act, allows patients to use and possess medical marijuana products based on the recommendation of a physician. All qualified patients of the Low THC Registry will be legally allowed to possess up to 20 fluid ounces of marijuana extracts that contain less than 5% THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol), and at least the same amount or higher of CBD (Cannabidiol) content.

Aerete Integrative Medicine of Atlanta is a compassionate medical organization headed and staffed by Dr. Linda McClain, a Board Certified physician. In addition to seeing patients for the Low THC Law, the office also offers Laser Hair Removal, iLipo, Botox and Juvederm treatments. Discreet and professional, the well-educated and equally experienced team at Aerete Integrative Medicine of Atlanta will compassionately guide patients through the process of registering for the Low THC Registry, so that they may legally use Low THC oils for medicinal treatment.

Named after the Greek goddess of virtue and excellence, Aerete Integrative Medicine of Atlanta, strives equally to embody these attributes in the compassionate care of their medical practice, and aspire to provide their patients with as many alternative options as possible, when faced with the daily difficulties of a debilitating, chronic, or terminal illness.
