These industry experts are the latest to join the rapidly expanding TraceLink team of 153 employees -- which has increased by more than 80% since January 1, 2015. 

With eight decades of combined experience spanning three of the world's top pharmaceutical brands, the new additions to the TraceLink team include:

• Michael Ventura, Director Industry Solutions. Ventura joins TraceLink following a 30-year career as the former serialization and security lead for GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) in the Americas, including eight years as an active GS1 Global and GS1 US member, where he currently serves as an elected member of the GS1 US Executive Leadership Team and co-chair of the Traceability Team. While at GSK, he led the company's patient safety and fraud prevention efforts and provided guidance on implementing effective solutions for EMR development, SMS patient authentication, point-of-dispense authentication, and full traceability pilots. In his new role, Ventura will lead strategic discussions with pharmaceutical companies that face significant infrastructure and operational challenges in meeting global track and trace compliance deadlines, and provide practical insight to manufacturers that are working to put successful serialization strategies in place over the next two to three years.

• Elizabeth Waldorf, Director, Global Traceability. During her 20-year tenure at AMGEN, Waldorf held a range of traceability, supply chain, enterprise architecture and commercial operations roles, where most recently she led the company's global serialization and track and trace initiatives, and drove adoption of GS1 standards across the company. In her new role at TraceLink, Waldorf will develop global regulatory serialization and traceability regulations, and translate them into business and product requirements for TraceLink's portfolio of track and trace solutions. She will also drive standards development within GS1 Global, GS1 US and GS1 Brazil, with active participation in technical and healthcare workgroups to apply the GS1 EPCIS standard towards meeting country level track and trace requirements. Waldorf is currently a co-chair for the GS1 Brazil working group that is focused on developing traceability and serialization guidelines for the country.

• Marcel Zutter, Senior Implementation Program Manager, EMEA. Zutter is a 30-year pharmaceutical industry veteran with decades of transformational experience in supply chain systems and process management. In his most recent position at Abbott, he served as the global serialization and track and trace program-lead for the company's Established Pharmaceuticals Division. Now, as part of TraceLink's Professional Services team, Marcel will leverage his deep knowledge of implementing traceability programs on the manufacturing side to help TraceLink customers in EMEA carefully plan and execute successful serialization strategies to achieve regional and global compliance.
