OAKVILLE, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - July 23, 2015) - Pethealth Inc. ("Pethealth"), a Fairfax company, is pleased to announce their participation in the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) Microchip Lookup Tool. Pethealth's 24PetWatch will now join the ranks of 15 Lost Pet Recovery organizations supporting this life saving initiative.

The AAHA Microchip Lookup Tool helps to reunite missing animals to their registered owners in the United States. Removing the guesswork for animal shelters, veterinarians and animal control staff, it identifies the pet recovery registry organization to be notified.

"With the addition of Pethealth's database of approximately 10 million registered pets, we are extremely pleased to join forces with AAHA to promote the greater goals of animal welfare," said Sean Smith, CEO of Pethealth. "As a Fairfax organization, we pride ourselves on collaborating with all animal welfare organizations."

For years, 24PetWatch has helped reunite hundreds of thousands of lost pets with their owners, with the Lost Pet Recovery team fielding an average of 19,000 calls each month. Pethealth's participation in the Lookup Tool helps to further ensure pets can always find their way home.
