COMOX, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwired - July 23, 2015) - Western Economic Diversification Canada
Today, the Honourable John Duncan, Minister of State, Chief Government Whip and Member of Parliament for Vancouver Island North, on behalf of the Honourable Michelle Rempel, Minister of State for Western Economic Diversification, announced an investment of $560,134 to construct the Comox Marina Centre Meeting Place.
This funding, provided through the Western Diversification Program, will go towards building the Meeting Place buildings, modifying the boardwalk and increasing food and commercial services.
This project will boost economic activity by transforming the Comox Marina Park into a premier meeting place for all residents and visitors, both domestic and international. This will improve the connectivity of the site with the downtown as well as other key attractions in the Comox Valley.
