Qumulo Co-Founder Named Puget Sound Business Journal 40 Under 40 Honoree

Co-Founder and VP of Engineering Neal Fachan Recognized as an Entrepreneur to Watch in the Pacific Northwest

SEATTLE, WA--(Marketwired - Jul 24, 2015) - Qumulo, pioneer of the world's first data-aware scale-out NAS, announced today that its co-founder and vice president of engineering, Neal Fachan, has been named to the Puget Sound Business Journal's 40 Under 40 list. The annual list highlights top innovators and business leaders under the age of 40 from the Puget Sound area who are excelling in their industry and demonstrating dynamic leadership.

Qumulo was co-founded in 2012 by Neal Fachan, Peter Godman and Aaron Passey to fundamentally change the way enterprises store and manage enormous numbers of digital assets. Qumulo emerged from stealth and announced the general availability of its flagship solution Qumulo Core™, earlier this year. Qumulo Core was developed after Neal and his co-founders spent three years interviewing over 600 companies to learn about their storage pain points and how to address them. Today, Qumulo Core is in production by leading customers in commercial high performance computing industries. With real-time data analytics built directly into storage, the solution enables customers to answer critical questions about their data footprint in real-time and at incredible scale.

"My team and I are working to solve problems in storage that have never been solved before," said Neal Fachan, co-founder and vice president of engineering at Qumulo. "I feel honored to be named a 40 Under 40 recipient. It solidifies our feelings that we are creating something meaningful. At Qumulo, we instill a culture of excellence and curiosity; I wouldn't be where I am today without questioning the status quo."

Neal was selected out of 400 nominees as a 40 Under 40 honoree not only for his entrepreneurial spirit but also for his desire to leave a lasting impact on the world by building and creating software that will change the enterprise forever.
