AlliedBarton Security Services to Host Seminar on Creating a Comprehensive Workplace Violence Preparedness Program

ATLANTA, GA--(Marketwired - Jul 27, 2015) -  AlliedBarton Security Services, the industry's premier provider of highly trained security personnel, will host a seminar on the Components of a Comprehensive Workplace Violence Preparedness Program on Wednesday, August 26, from 8 to 10:30 a.m. in the South Terraces located at 115 Perimeter Center Place, Atlanta.

Paul Merritt, co-founder of Fortress Consulting, LLC, an Atlanta-based consulting firm that provides businesses with workplace violence prevention and response training, will share critical information on workplace violence preparedness. As a 23-year police officer, including 13 years as a SWAT team member in the Atlanta metro area, Merritt has safely resolved a number of high risk situations.

"We want to look at how you properly respond to armed Intruders, while keeping everyone in your workplace safe," said Merritt. "It comes down to notification, area denial, and facilitating police response, as well as testing your emergency response plans with reality-based training. Bruce Blythe, an internationally acclaimed crisis management expert, will speak about understanding the violent mind and offer components for implementing a comprehensive violence preparedness program.
