TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - July 27, 2015) - The Honourable Ed Holder, Minister of State (Science and Technology), accompanied by Bernard Trottier, Member of Parliament for Etobicoke-Lakeshore, will announce the first recipient of the inaugural competition of the Canada First Research Excellence Fund during an official ceremony at the University of Toronto. This legacy health research investment will help save lives while creating jobs and opportunities for Canadians.
Prior to the announcement, Minister of State Holder and Mr. Trottier will join Dr. Peter Zandstra on a tour of his lab in the Donnelly Centre for Cellular and Biomolecular Research. Members of the media are invited to attend. Please arrive 15 minutes early to sign in at the reception desk.
