NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - Jul 29, 2015) - SmartMetric, Inc. (OTCQB: SMME), the creator and developer of the biometric fingerprint activated credit and debit cards has successfully completed its first round of mass production of its fingerprint activated and verified debit and credit card.

After years of research and development it is an exciting time for us to overcome the obstacles in mass production of our revolutionary card. It is one thing to produce a card like ours in the lab in our engineering center, it is another thing to be able to produce the card in a manufacturing process that will allow for millions of cards to come off the assembly line said today SmartMetric's President & CEO, Chaya Hendrick.

The company is now engaging a public relations company who will be organising a media conference for the official unveiling of the revolutionary biometric credit / debit card. A video showing the production of the card is also being done that will be shortly available on the company's website coinciding with the release of the product to the media.

Having been approached by financial institutions from all over the world and given the shear physical numbers of credit cards in circulation the company has had to develop an advanced production process that could produce millions of its card.

There are in excess of 3.4 billion chip cards in circulation globally. The SmartMetric biometric card works using the chip used in these chip cards by having the banking chip turned on after a card users fingerprint match. Because the reading of the persons fingerprint is performed by the SmartMetric miniature fingerprint reader built inside the card the card user's fingerprint never leaves the internal electronics of the card. The card is fully interoperable with the existing EMV chip card readers and ATM's used around the world therefore a card issuing bank doesn't need to add additional or new kinds of readers for the SmartMetric biometric card to be used.

Using the power of biometrics in a discreet and powerful way inside credit and debit cards provides a far greater level of security for both the general public and financial institutions alike. If it is not you, simply the card will not work.
