Escape and Recapture of Inmate from the Federal Training Centre-Multi-Level Unit

LAVAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwired - Aug. 6, 2015) - Correctional Service Canada

On August 5, 2015 during the 4 p.m. count in the multi-level security unit at the Federal Training Centre in Laval, staff members discovered that Mario Marcotte was not accounted for.

The Correctional Service of Canada (CSC) immediately contacted the Sûreté du Québec and a warrant for his arrest has been issued.

On the same day, at approximately 5 p.m., Mario Marcotte was apprehended by the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal. CSC is conducting an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
