Internationally renowned gender equality advocate, Almas Jiwani will deliver the keynote speech on the importance of Gender Equality during the 7th Global African Women in Leadership Conference. The conference whose theme is "Transcending the Globe, Breaking Barriers," will be held between the 12th and 16th of August, 2015 in Sugarland, Texas.
"Empowered women are fundamental building blocks of sustainable, healthy, and successful societies," said Ms. Almas Jiwani. "In this Global Village, the United States of America can play a leadership role in inspiring women to become international leaders."

The conference, now in its 7th year, serves to be a platform that equips women leaders with the tools and connections necessary to achieve their goals. Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee and Senator Donzella James will co-host this year's conference while Her Excellency, Mrs. Aisha Buhari, the First Lady of Nigeria will preside.
