RCA Diagnostics Expands to Create Unique, Comprehensive Community-Based Medical Imaging Facility in Calgary

CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwired - Aug. 25, 2015) - RCA Diagnostics (RCA) is excited to announce the opening of the next phase of one of Canada's most comprehensive medical imaging centre, Mayfair Place, in Southwest Calgary. The newly renovated and expanded centre provides the full breadth of advanced radiology services for patients, performed by a team of world-class radiologists and dedicated specialists in one centralized location.

Mayfair Place offers a dynamic and collaborative approach to patient care and a comprehensive scope of services to its patients. The centre, located at 6707 Elbow Drive SW, offers patients a comforting environment, while providing a full suite of state-of-the-art technology and diagnostic imaging, all under one roof. The expansion will add another 9,400 square feet, offering more than 20,200 square feet of space for patients. This space will add to its current offerings to patients, with the creation of Centres for Cardiovascular Imaging, Bone and Joint Imaging and Pain Management, and Breast Imaging and Intervention.

The centre boasts top of the line technology including a larger than normal MRI machine, a CT scanner that uses low radiation dose software, 17 ultrasound rooms, two x-ray units, two fluoroscopy units for pain management, a cardiac imaging lab with cardiac stressing and cardiac nuclear medicine cameras, echocardiography, a full-service breast centre with 2D and 3D mammography, breast ultrasound, and breast interventions, and a comprehensive vascular ultrasound department.
